Our chickens are sourced from local Shropshire farms, where welfare, traceability, and quality are a priority. Carefully selected for flavour and consistency, these birds roast beautifully with juicy meat and crisp skin. Average weight: approx. 1.5kg.

Cooking & Recipes

How to Cook Whole Chicken

Place in a roasting tin, season the skin with sea salt and oven roast at 90°C/Fan170°C/Gas 5 in the centre of a preheated oven. Cook for approximately 80 - 90 minutes, basting occasionally with roasting juices. Ensure that the centre of the deepest part of the meat is piping hot, and the juices run clear when pricked with a skewer. If the juices are pink continue cooking until they run clear. Remove from oven and rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Storage Instructions

Store at 0 - 4°C. Once opened keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours. This product is delivered fresh so is suitable for home freezing. Freeze in your desired portions on day of delivery. Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before use. Once defrosted do not refreeze.
