Coronavirus, Latest News, Robbery -

It's been a really tough week at HQ, which knocked us a bit sideways, but, as always, we did our best, and we got through it without letting our customers down...

So, this weeks update comes a bit late, which, in a way, really sums up the week. For those of you who don't know, we had a robbery at the start of the week, which, ultimately, resulted in a significant loss of stock and a delivery van. Not to mention the extensive disruption it all caused, which meant that some of our customers who were expecting deliveries on Tuesday, didn't get them until Wednesday. I should note that all customers were informed of the situation, and were extremely understanding. So, thank you to all of them. Anyway, it really wasn't the start to the week that we needed, and it is especially disappointing given how hard everyone has been working to make sure customers are getting their deliveries when they need them. I have to admit, it has been rather hard to take, but, I guess, sometimes things happen and although it's hard to keep picking yourself up, that's what we have to do.

I'm sure a lot of you out there are finding things difficult at the moment, but you can't let them get you down. For us, there is no way we could give up now, not after all the hard work the whole team has been putting in. After all, it's in our blood, this is almost 80 years, and three generations, in the making. We're not giving up, so we pick ourselves up and we go again. Knock us down 7 times and we stand up 8.

It's a really difficult time, but we also need to say thank you. We've had a lot of help from a lot of good people. From suppliers, who arranged special deliveries to help us with stock, to local businesses, who helped us secure HQ and add extra security measures, to friends and family, who offered help and kind words, at a time when we needed them, and to anyone who shared posts on facebook and helped us locate our van (which is still with the police at the moment). If you think you recognise the person in the picture, please drop us an email at info@truebites.co.uk, and we'll pass the information on to the police.

In the mean time, get your BBQ on, pour yourself a nice cold drink, and do your best to have a great day. I think we all deserve it.
