Product Description
Product Description
British or Irish beef braising steak, expertly prepared by our butchers using quality chuck, a cut known for its rich flavour and tenderness when slow cooked.
Supplied in whole pieces rather than diced, this steak is ideal for traditional braising, slow roasting, or cutting into your preferred portion sizes at home.
When cooked low and slow, the meat becomes beautifully tender, delivering rich, comforting flavour in classic dishes and hearty one-pot meals.
Available in:
- 450g packs
- 1KG packs (ideal for batch cooking)
Please note: These steaks are supplied by weight, not by number of pieces.
A 450g pack will usually contain one steak, while 1kg packs typically contain two steaks, although this may vary depending on the size of the cut.

Remove steak from packaging and rest at room temperature for 5 minutes before cooking. Heat a frying pan or griddle pan until very hot, brush the meat with a little oil, and seal the meat on both sides for 2 - 3 minutes in total. Transfer to a casserole dish, add your choice of vegetables and stock/gravy, and braise in the oven at 180°C/ Fan 160°C/ Gas 4 for 2 hours 30 minutes, or until tender.
